The Kawachinagano Bon Dance Summer Evening is held in the city that i live. It was one of those festivals that i just had to go and see! Bon Dance festivals like this are held everywhere all over Japan, some are organized for small local communities while others draw a bit more people. Kawachinagano City has a population of around 115,000 and looks like some found their way down to the parking field next to the train station where the festival is being hold.
Transport: 2 minutes on foot from Kawachinagano train station.
Website: The Kawachinagano city website has something about it in Japanese.
hey Stefan,
thanks again on the camera/focusing advice. i will look more into it when i get home. i am thinking of getting a Panasonic Lumix for my compact digital. maybe tomorrow at Yodobashi Camera in Umeda.
nice Matsuri photos. i will probably be leaving on Osaka on the 3rd of September so any more festivals
i attend will have to be thru your lens.
okini,
kevin
I hope it’s one of those new sexy Lumix GF1 Micro 4/3rd’s? – i wouldn’t mind having one of these myself as a walk-around camera
